prayer warriors (following Jesus Christ, everyone welcome)

@BigBlueHen53 - spot on with your messages yesterday. The Holy Spirit was clearly working through you to deliver the needed messages of the day.
Thanks, Bawk, I'm glad you were blessed. That prayer was for me as much as for anyone. I've been in pain for months. I just have to keep my eyes of faith on my Savior and remember that He doeth all things well! 😊

@kikiruru - Thank you for walking us through Psalm 121 - it is such an inspiring and beautiful Psalm.
Amen, Kikiruru! I appreciate your Psalm jewels as well!

I've been in pain for months.
I know and I'm sorry you're traveling this journey. :hugs

On days when the pain level renders me incapacitated, I remind myself it is nothing compared to what Jesus endured during his torture. I've read somewhere in the past that he suffered 5,480 blows during the torture. I can't even wrap my head around that.

Thank you for that. And what Jesus suffered physically is indeed significant and makes my pain pale by comparison. But Jesus did not die of crucifixion, horrendous as that was. Remember that on Thursday night, the night of the Last Supper, He had already begun to die. He said to His disciples in the Garden:

Mark 14:34 KJV
And saith unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful unto death: tarry ye here, and watch.

He sweated great drops of blood as the life began to be crushed out of Him. Our sins did that as He began to feel the separation from His father, the first time that had ever happened in all eternity, causing Him ultimately to cry out on the cross,

Matthew 27:46 KJV
And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

The thieves who were crucified beside Him did not die that day. Typically it took several days to die by this method. That's why their legs were broken before sunset, at the beginning of the Sabbath. But Jesus was already dead, hence His legs were not broken. John 19:31-33.

Jesus died, not of crucifixion, but of a broken heart. Or perhaps more accurately, He died of sin. Sin separates from the Father, and apart from the Father, there is no life. Our sin, for there was no sin in Him. He took that sin willingly.
