I sent a PM to the seller and invited them to join us on this thread. Have not seen them post yet.

With your Lavender Orpington project, have you got the type and size yet? If not, how many generations till you think you will reach it?

Agreed. I would definitely drive to get those eggs.

Jim, you can see our birds on our web site. It is not all of them, but gives folks an idea of where we are at with this project. Typically folks will call a breed pure when it has achieved confirmation to breed standard and breeds consistently true to standard, which is usually attainable around F5. We are close, but I will continue to work on breed improvement, as I do with all of my birds.

Jody, I have to tell you that we are planning on continuing to improve the line as well as starting projects of our own. It is sad to see that others aren't doing the same & I hope you continue to share your wonderful birds!

Have looked over your website. Lots of lovely birds.

You might attain perfection at F5 and lose it in F7 if proper culling and breeding is not maintained. Sooner or later a hatchery will get some Lavenders and then....well we all know what happens.

There is no doubt in my mind that Jody will continue to hold high standards long past the F5 birds.
