Pros:
Sweet laid back, friendly, GREAT broodies, mine lay about 4-6 eggs a week. Great bird. Probably the best overall for farm life. I have neer been attacked by a Brahma roo. Every other breed of mine yes, but not them. They are gentle giants.
Cons:
SQ birds grow sooooooooo sooo slow. My hatchery ones were jsut as speedy growing as the rest. But I got some SQ chicks this year and at 5 months they still half feathered and small.
They will get HUGE though. One day.... lol
Although I breed many birds and breeds. If I had to cut back because of money and could only go with one for eggs and meat. I would surely pick my Brahmas. They are so much better than buff orps.
