Purchasing fertilized eggs online

Most major hatcheries sell them. I like Meyer, but cackle, McMurray, ideal poultry and mount healthy are good too. You can also see if there's a breeder local to you

Shipping eggs is really hard on them. I would recommend FedEx rather than USPS just from my experience. If you're trying to get a particular breed you may have to have them shipped but if you can find some you like locally you're more likely to have a better hatch rate.

Looking to purchase some fertilized eggs to hatch, where do you guys recommend?
Where are you? What country? Some of my suggestions will apply only in the US but if you are in a different country you may have something equivalent.

1. Go to the "Where am I? Where are you!" section of this forum and find your state or country thread. Chat with your neighbors.

2. Go to the "Buy-Sell-Trade" section of this forum and post an add. Mention your location in the title to maybe attract the attention of those you want.

3. Talk to the people at your feed store. They may know somebody or they may let you post an ad on their bulletin board.

4. Contact your county extension office and chat with them. There is a good chance they may know someone that can help you.

5. Can you find an online local poultry chat group (Facebook or whatever) and chat with them.

6. Can you find a local chicken swap? Many places have them but they are not always easy to locate. Chat with people there about hatching eggs.

Good luck!
