Radiant Barrier Inside of Coop

So our run is just a literal cage (very much like your HWC ceiling). The specific product we used is called "radiant barrier". It's reflective on both sides, so it doesn't matter which way it's installed. If you have something one-sided, I would face the foil towards the tarp. This would (in theory) reflect the heat back outward.
Ok, this is right from LP. The foil side faces down a 3/4" min gap between the insulation and foil. In a coop no insulation and paint will not change the reflective function of the foil as it reflects up. The reason they want the 3/4" gap is due to heat transfer. But, this is a moot point as what is being used is not a reflective panel but a simple foil, in which case I would not paint as it most likely will peel in my upinion.

"#4: If you’re planning on an open or exposed ceiling design—for example in a loft space or garage or shed—do not paint the LP TechShield Radiant Barrier sheathing. The aluminum foil-like overlay allows the radiant barrier to work while the VaporVents™ technology allows the panel to breathe and lets moisture escape."

Hello! I just purchased my first chicken coop! The inside of the coop is covered with LP TechShield Radiant Barrier in between all studs. Should I paint or cover this? I wasn't sure if the chickens would peck at it and tear it up. If I do plan to cover it, will most paints stick to it?

One other question about it. Does it really help to have it for keeping the coop cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter?
Thank you!View attachment 4093444
Ok..I installed roof/wall outer sheathing with the thin shiny radiant barrier covering facing the inside of my coop. Then I stretched 6 foot-1” poultry fence onto the inside of my studs to keep the hens from pecking at it. 18 months later and it’s working great. Pic below.

I used BEHR exterior paint with primer.

I was wondering about trying that. Thanks for sharing the pics!
