Okay, I need to ask a few questions. As previous post mentioned about how I got this baby chick I have a few questions or help. Feeding: I gave her chick starter and wet them so far she was eating fine but later she seem get bored and want something else. I gave her right now scramble egg add grit and medication boost immunity and vitamins. She love that but I don't want chick starter gone to waste so I mix in. She's eating more. Later today she doesn't eat much so I got mum's cooked rice noodles and add those booster and scramble egg. She ate like there's no tomorrow. I noticed her poop a bit too wet and look different so I tried to add chick starter mix in. Am I over worry or considering as spoil the baby chicken?
Sleeping: She's not following sun at all. She awake until 8 or 9pm even 10pm. Though she slept during the day too. I have her in living room area. My parents also around with light on and have their phone playing. So I tried to make her sleep in bird cage with clothes cover her and making sure everyone in bed. I had to use my hand cover her until she's clam and slowly zip the play pen up and have blanket cover the play pen then very quietly walk out and turn off the light. Any other methods to help with this baby chick to sleep?

Is it okay to let baby chick continuously crying out until sleep? I feel bad so always come right away and just like baby cover her and next to her until sleep then walk off.

So am I doing okay or over doing things?

Hi! I tried to hatch chicks and only one hatched, I don’t do anything special just give it food, water, and a heat lamp and my chick seems fine!

Hi! I’ve had one duckling before and all I did with it was spend time with it during the day, and at night I just ignore them. Mine went to bed at the same time as me, it peeped a lot though but eventually it went to sleep. If you can find a friend for her you should get her a friend.

It was kind of unplanned. Since I got this one for my uncle's wife as meat chick but turn out she's not. So yeah... we have 3 hens and wasn't plan to have more yet. But this one just here now. I used to have pet duckling too from my highschool year as imprinting experiment. She was fine. Sleep in the shoe box no crying. So don't know why this one soooo different.

I think you're over doing things with the feeding. Just make dry chick starter and clean water available at all times. It'll eat when it's hungry.
I have water available all the time I even get this type of water dispenser (not my baby chick I screenshot from the website) to make sure she able to have easily and not worry with wet or drown. As for feeding I think you're right it just whenever I saw that she eat not much I thought she not really like it. Since this is the one I was able to find for chick starter in Australia. The pallets some too long some short some too big so I wet it to make it softer for her to eat. I don't know if chicken able taste like dog or cat or not so I got worry when she didn't eat much. Our hens also have unusual taste for eating. They were once love human sandwich sausage and grow bored later. They even picky with fruits like mulberries (we have one tree) they ate so much on the first few days. Later they just walk pass. So maybe my house just end up spoil our chickens too much with treats. I'll try to tone down and worry less then.
