Want to cross a white leghorn and Black copper Marans to create Pyle.
Do I need to use a white leghorn Rooster and a Black Copper Marans Hen?
Or should I use Black copper Marans Rooster and a white leghorn Hen?
Can I do it either way?
Thanks so much!!

Couple things here. First off Red Pyle should be dominate white over gold duckwing. I preferred red duckwing.
BCM are red birches. Birchen is the wrong pattern. The males would look close but the females lack the salmon reddish breasts.
The other issue is what's under the white of the leghorns. The cross will also only give one copy of dominate white so you'll get some flecks of black showing here and there.
Back to the other. Although I've never saw it its said WLs can carry a array of genes which could come into play.
When I did some crosses my WL were silver based so that would really ruin a Pyle project.
If you want to go deeper I'll pop back and reply more when I have more time.
