Regular sized rooster + Bantam hens?

Sorry for the loss of your little roo.
Unfortunately, standard roosters should and cannot not be bred with bantam hens as the roo can cause injury while mounting, and fertilization is not possible.
Not true at all I have a cream legbar that just had chicks with my bantam Wyandotte. The chicks came out just fine

Yeah this can be done!😉 My mom had a bantam that hatched out multiple chicks that were crossed with a full sized RIR rooster! Also our roosters jump on our bantams and they are fine!😉 Good luck with your breeding experiment!😁

Inhumane? I simply have to disagree, With proper observation you can breed bantams with standard sized cocks. I don't suggest keeping bantams and large fowl together but if you wanted to put a rooster in with your bantam hens just long enough for them to be fertilized I believe you can do so without any serious damage done to your hens..
I have two Batam hens and a a regular rooster and one of Bataan is laying a bit larger egg is that because the rooster breed with her?

I believe this is inhumane as mounting can and usually does result in injuries.
I have a Dark Brahma Rooster that mates with my bantams almost daily. He hasn't injured any of them and is actually quite careful in the process. I'm going to incubate some eggs to see what their cross brings. I have two bantam, Blue, Sex-linked Easter-Eggers that my Rooster mates with regularly.
I didn't know it was potentially damaging to the bantams. They've been living together for over a year with no issues.

They can sucessfully breed, but the full sizes roosters can hurt the small hens while mating. I think you should just try to find another bantam rooster.

Are your chicks from that cross (Cream Legbar x Bantam Wyandotte) bantam or standard? I'm interested in doing a similar cross (Dark Brahma Rooster x Bantam Blue Sex-link Easter Eggers Hens), but I'm hoping for Standard chicks that will lay larger eggs. Is that a possibility?

My young sussex rooster tried to mount my 4+ year old bantam who has no experience with a rooster at all. I have 9 regular sized hens we got with him (actually we were buying pullets but he slipped thru the sexing I guess) We love him and he's a nice rooster but I'm very worried about my little red cochin bantam. This morning is the first time he tried this and he was very adamant. I had to carry her around and now she is seperate from them to protect her. She's much smaller than he is. Ugh. I don't really want to get rid of him, but should I? This seems like it could create problems.
Also I worry that if she can handle the mounting... would she be laying bigger eggs? Her eggs are small so that also concerns me for her.
