Hi,
I’m raising baby chickens for the first time. I used to give them to my broody hen before. I had 4 and kept them in the separate cage until they became 2 months. One of them had suden death syndrome 4 days ago. It’s been 3 days they are sleeping in the main coop and the camera detects motion almost every minute. 2 of them keep moving while perching: pushing, jamming, standing and sitting constantly. Today I made them a narrower perch and put some soft cloth next to them that the last one has some support as the last one on the perch shows the most movement.
But still moving every minute, not as sever though, less standing tonight. What can I do for them? I’m afraid they die due to lack of sleeping.

Chickens do not have the same sleep requirements as mammals. They preen a good deal during the night. Juveniles go through several mini-molts while growing and it's itchy when the feathers are coming in so they will preen more during that time.

I've watched my adult flock moving around at various times throughout the night. Chickens also nap during the day. What you are describing is perfectly normal behavior.
However, if you are that concerned, go out with a headlamp on your head to free up your hands and examine the birds looking for mites or lice on them. If you find any external parasites, treat them with permethrin spray or dust and treat the coop as well. Repeat in 7 days.

Thank you so much :)
