I have some r.I. reds that are laying really little eggs, would haveing a small easter egger rooster breeding them cause this?

Nope, the rooster size doesn't have any effect on the egg. It all depends on the individual hen. Are your hens just beginning to lay, or have they been laying for a while? Young pullets just beginning to lay often have smaller eggs.

Welcome to BYC.
The rooster mating them has no influence on the size of eggs they produce. How old are the birds in question? I ask because young birds first starting to lay will produce small eggs - as the bird progresses through her laying cycle the eggs increase in size.

Thanks for the info. Yes, the birds are just starting to lay, only been doing this for a couple of weeks. I guess they will get better with practice.

X2 on that. Pullets' eggs are small when they first begin laying but they will gradually get larger over the next few weeks until they are full sized.)
