If moving them into the coop doesn't break them, I will pick up some fertile eggs when I pick up the rooster this weekend. I'll only get a couple because I want eggs from my girls.

Just commenting that I've been getting the cat and the hens' food delivered lately. Mainly because the special pellets recommended by Dr Mark were no longer stocked, but it also saves me a lot of time. And I think it's a little cheaper to buy cat food in large quantities. So far, the use by dates have been long enough.

What's wrong with him?

He’s chasing the chickens. My bantams are not big enough to ‘not give a damn’ if he comes very near and then, last second, their instincts say to flee (over the hedge to the neighbours and further.

Maybe I lost a few chickens to this instinct driven, well fed, horrible cat.
