Rooster Doesn't Crow

I believe he will. It depends on the rooster. My last one matured super fast but I’ve also had some take a while to mature. Just wait it out and he should be more manly in no time. With how young he is don’t expect him to be the boss quite yet.

We thought Oliver was an extra large Olive until we saw him mounting a pullet the other day. No fancy comb, wattles, spurs or crow. He's also a young EE, 6 months old. We kept saying, 'you know, he's larger than the others. And that tail sure looks like a rooster's, too'.

My cockerel started crowing at 5 1/2 months and started mating with neighbours hens ( They had a rooster at that time ) So whenever he got a chance he mated with them

He is now 7 months old
He still scares of my older hens and also he doesnt crow in presence of her

Now neighbours rooster died
So my rooster became the boss of neighbour flock
He has started crowing regularly and fights young cockerel that wants to steals his girls 😂😂

I think cockerel is immature thats why hens are pecking and chasing him away
Once he matured enough
They will accept him as leader 😂

I have a roo who is about 16 mo old. Homey is still afraid of my top hen. I keep waiting for the day she will actually allow him to mate with her. He gives her a wiiiiide berth...
