Rooster lost his voice

Last Saturday morning, my usually robust sounding rooster couldn't crow. Upon closer inspection, he was mouth breathing a bit, but he was not in distress at all and was acting normal--just squeaked when he tried to vocalize. None of my other birds were or are now having the same problem, and this happened literally overnight. I really assumed he probably had something caught in his airway, even though I couldn't see anything looking down his throat or feel anything from the outside. Figured I would let him be for a day or two and see, if it was something in his airway, if his system could work it out on his own. Well, we're 6 days into this at this point, and there is still no improvement. He's not mouth breathing anymore, but he just kind of wheezes when he breaths. Still eating, drinking, and acting as normal and none of my other birds have anything respiratory going on. The only visual sign that something is up is that his comb and wattles are a little darker than usual. Yesterday, I started VetRx in the flock's water and dosed the rooster with a few drops orally. Anybody have any insight into what is going on and what I can do for him?

I can't get videos to attach to this post, but I do have videos of the first morning we noticed something was off and one from this morning as well...

The comb and waddles may not be connected. Im now going to share my story: I bought a wyandotte rooster and after I put him in with new hens he crowed all day! A few days later, he lost his voice. A few days after that it came back. He has nothing else go wrong. It was not as extreme but it could be similar to that. He also mouth breathed a tiny bit. @Eggcessive can probably share more about your bird however!

Do you have a picture of him? Is he gasping for air? Does he run around and seem to be fairly active? How is the odor and ventilation in the coop? Have you seen any bubbles in his eyes, nasal drainage, or swallowing of mucus?
