So I hatched a bunch of eggs, 28 to be exact, this spring and its getting to be that time (9-11weeks - even had one start crowing) where I should be able to distinguish between the pullets and cockerels. I hatched 6 BCM and I was hoping to get atleast 3 hopefully 4 hens. 4 of them have combs and wattles at 9 weeks and 2 of them have barely anything. I was just curious does this definitely mean i definitely only have 2 hens or could some of the other 4 with wattles and combs be hens? Below is one in question. I know its probably still difficult to tell at this age and with a picture but i have one of my friends that wants a hen and I want to be left with atleast two for my flock. I really like the dark colored eggs. I checked for sadle feathers but they really haven't started coming in yet. And the legs don't seem bigger than any others.
