First off, sorry for posting about this again. I found this on him recently and am desperate for answers.

My 3 year old barred rock rooster has at least gulf ball sized hard masses on either side of his throat. It is making it hard for him to eat and breathe, and I can't find anything about it. When I checked on him this morning I noticed some pretty bad facial swelling, I brought him in because he's been ill for a bit now. (over salivating) I just noticed when checking him over he has hard swollen masses on either side of his neck, that seem to cause him pain. He can't swallow or breathe well because of them. He's lost weight, but he's still eating and drinking. I can't stand to see him like this, its heart breaking. If anyone knows anything, has any ideas or something I could do for him I would greatly appreciate it. :hit

There is a lot I left out on this, just so I could get SOME answers.
(I think this swelling (just the masses, not his face) started 3-5 days ago. I remember seeing his face was pale in one spot and finding it weird, only finding out now that it was swelling.. :()

All his symptoms;
over salivating
facial swelling that's gone down over time
Difficulty swallowing
gaping
Lethargy
sneezing
weight loss

(Circled the spot where the masses are.)

I admit, I did not read all that long opening post in your other thread that was started today, but you did mention a bad odor on that thread and not this one. This is also the 3rd bird you've had with similar issues. Since this seems to be a continuation of previous problems, I suggest that if possible, seek vet care.

Do you see any yellow or white pasty material or canker inside his beak?
Any infection in his ears?

Please post some photos of the inside of his beak.

Im considering driving him a few hours to an exotic/bird vet because I have no vets near. This is the 3rd bird I've had with over salivating, not the swelling or bad odor. I can post pictures of his mouth but Im not sure it would do much, considering his mouth is all clear. I can check again, though.

Is he being hurt by another rooster in the flock? He has a lot of peck wounds or injuries on his wattles that may be from pecks.
Not that I know of, my other rooster is in a different section of the yard so they have no contact. Those marks on his wattles are from dirt that's been stuck to him because of the saliva. Ive done my best to keep him clean.
