Sad news and need some advise

It was very hard to watch him go lifeless in my hands. It definitely seemed like he drowned. Fluid came pouring out once his head went limp. He was gone so fast. I really just miss his lil face. thank you so much for your comment. I feel better understanding how and why he passed so quickly. I wish you the best luck in raising your flock.

I used to raise exotics..parrots, conures...sad to say..i have on occasion aspirated a handled baby. After many yrs..I sold them..got chickens and discovered i LOVE chickens! Not long ago, I watched a days old cemani chick get knocked into the water dish and aspirated water..just like that..it fell over dead. Yep..i know every one if my chickens faces..All thier little individual characteristics...they r actually very interesting. When ur hubby pics u up another buddy for your hen..get a couple of extra hens! A little roo with 3 hens can be pretty fun! Good luck.

Funny enough my hen bunny loves to float, she even paddles.. it’s the cutest! Of course she’s supervised. The water is very calm, hardly a wave until the tide come in!

I just want to say thank you to all of you! Your replies and likes have given me comfort since the passing of my sweet lil boy. He’s buried now with all your thoughts. I know he’s running around happy in chicken paradise, making new friends with chickens past. I’ll always miss his voice, and face and his cuddles and complaints. Rest In Peace Njembe.
