I bought a dehydrator, am looking forward to experimenting with it. I never thought of doing bread, though.I'm trying something new.
Last year, I tried baking slices of home made bread to toast it for stuffing, and it seemed to take a really long time. No, I didn't turn on the broiler, because I don't think it works. I think of using a broiler once or twice a year, and this is half or all of them.
So I dried out the slices in the dehydrator. We'll see if that helps. They won't sizzle, anyway. They are bone dry.
This is a sad thing to do intentionally to nice loaf of home made bread. That means I need to make another loaf, huh? But not until after Thanksgiving and leftovers are gone/put in the freezer. There will be enough good things to eat for quite awhile.
