In 2008, the Lions were 0-16. They have been the butt of a lot of jokes, taken a lot of crap.

I'm not much of a football fan, but I'm rooting for them 1000%. Hubby is from Pittsburgh. Steelers are his team. It's not at all likely, but it could happen that the Lions could play the Steelers in the SuperBowl. I asked him who he'd root for, and he said the Lions.

If they go to the Big Game, I will get a Lion's Jersey. And wear it.

I like rooting for the underdogs.

This year, they can beat any team they play. Doesn't mean they can't lose (12-1, so it did happen!), but my money is on them.

Michigan really could use something to cheer about, so I'm rooting for the Lions, big time.

I've lived in Michigan my entire life. I can't imagine moving somewhere else at my age, mostly because of the place we have here. We could not trade this for anything we like as well.

I'm not betting on it, anyway. If we were to move, hubby would want to go north, I'd want to go south. So we'll stay here and I'll grumble about the Michigan winters being cold and dark and snowy, and hubby will complain that they aren't snowy enough and that the summers are too hot.

My new (refurb) laptop arrived yesterday. I really hope it lasts a long time, because getting it set up was a PITA. I'm sure for someone who knows even a little more than I do about computers, it would have been simple simon, but it was not at all intuitive to me.

Grump grump grump.

The other hit-me-over-the-head-and-in-the-pocket-book technology issue today is that we need to replace our phones. We have iphone 6, and the batteries are not easily or guaranteed-ily replaced. So we are getting a pair of iphone SE's at $440 each.

What we really like about our 6es is that they are small and fit in pockets. The SE is a little bigger, but hopefully still small enough to fit into pockets. And not a back pocket, either. I see nothing good in that. Sit on it and crack the screen, or worse. Bend over, and the phone oozes out of the pocket and cracks on the pavement or is lost in the garden. So I really hope these SE phones fit in the pockets we usually carry our phones in. For me, that's the side pocket on cargo pants. And those are generally big pockets.

Mine is a Samsung Galaxy A15 5G. Paid $180 a while ago. They can be purchased for $165, if you search around. NEW, and unlocked. So good with any carrier. Refurbished, or Open Box going for $125

I don’t know if you’re buying used or new but I never ever buy new phones. They depreciate in value so fast. Last I checked a recent iPhone such as 13 or 14 was $400 on Swappa with essentially new battery capacity. I mention Swappa specifically because I like their buyer protection. Unlike FB marketplace… that place is scary.

Check the dimensions on the buyer listing… and cut out a piece of cardboard that’s the same size. If you want to be OCD (like me.)

Yep, never had that one specifically but I liked my Motorola for a similar price.

I had Motorola's, for a long time. Was very happy with them.
Then I got 3, new phones with a NEW plan from T-Mobile.
They were 5 G. One of them,,, the one I was using was having problems receiving texts. The other 2 were fine.
T-Mobile tried to correct mine, by switching off the5G,,, That worked for a while,,,,,,,BUT then there was an operating system update. The new Android version installed,,,,, and phone went BAD. I got ticked offfffff, and threw chit out,,, Got the Galaxy. Am VERY HAPPY WITH IT.
The Galaxy has a fantastic camera. The Motorola cameras were good as well.
