Salt is not a good mama…😡

I’m switching this brood to a medicated feed this morning and adding rooster booster to their water. Hopefully that will help Sky out some.
Just keep in mind that medicated feed only helps protect against coccidiosis. In their state, it might do more harm than good as it will deprive them of thiamine.

I was advised this when I went to buy it. I decided against it and they said to use this on her vent. I followed the directions and just sprayed it directly on the enflamed area and an hour later she’s looking like she’s back on the verge of death. I’m perplexed.

Can you post a picture of her vent area?

I have numerous bad mommas. Luckily I have 2 incredible roosters that took over raising them. Then I have another one that hatches one egg and abandons the rest even though they are starting to hatch. She is like, nope! One is enough 🤦‍♀️ i do have one, Freya, that mothered her babies for over a year. They still come back to her when they are upset. I just have to convince her to hatch all the chicks 😆
