So I have some satin silkie first generation chicks hatching and I've had two hatch that I think are an I treating color but I'm not really sure what it is. Does anyone recognize this down color and know what color these chicks should be at maturity? Is this just juvenile feathering and they will molt into a separate color? Does the down tell me anything about the genetics playing out here? Mom was white- I'm assuming Recessive and dad is blue Wheaton? He is blue on the bottom and red in the hackles and saddle if I remember right. Bantam Cochin. But I have no history/very little for the parents backgrounds. I believe father could of possibly been split to silkie feathering but not sure. I know nothing about the history on the mom though.
Thanks in advance for any input! I really appreciate it
