Scared my duck will die

I’m scared my duck will die, it ate a centipede and centipedes release poison and the poison smells and that’s what it did in my ducks mouth and my duck spat it out and my duck stunk of centipedes and I’m scared she will die or her mouth is now poisoned please someone help me urgently

Did he spit the whole centipede out? If he did I think he will be okay..

I believe that only millipedes release a smell when endangered to protect themselves. They are both non toxic (but nasty!) if eaten and not venomous if they bite.

Many centipede are venomous when they bite but should not usually kill or seriously hurt a duck.

Your duck should be fine

Thank you so much, I got really worried for a while. My duck bit and played with it for a while maybe 10 seconds before he actually spat it out and the little bastard lived and crawled off
