For the last couple a weeks my guineas have been going nuts right at sunset, setting my chickens off too and I run out with a 🔫 ready just to find nothing out there. I got them in May they are my first guineas so I’m new to this

There is something disturbing them. Whatever it is, is likely out of sight by the time you get out there.

It can be as simple as a cat walking by. The timing is right for when an owl leaves its roost.

I have a female brown tabby that blends in really well and she starts walking around in the evening and comes in at like 10 every night and a male tuxedo that doesn’t blend in and he comes in and out all day especially at sunset. They both are really good cats and have watched the guineas grow and have never tried to hurt them. The in and out one will attack any stray or neighbors cats that get near the coop and will come in with a bloody face because he’s so protective of the birds and my yard (probably has more to do with his hormones and being a male cat then it does with my birds but still). And I have a grey calico cat that you can step on she’s so hard to see and she has access outside but doesn’t really go outside and she ignores the birds. Here’s them with chickens and guineas because why not
