Hey,
My duck Cookie has been going through some laying issues since 3months ago.I posted a thread about her once, she does not lay an actual egg. I already took her for vet visits and I have asked for different vets’ opinion but none of them can solve her problem. All the vets that checked her have prescribed antibiotics and She’s been taking antibiotics everytime and yet her issue hasn’t solved.
Cookie used to lay these 2-3times a week(now its once in a while.)
I suspected internal laying but then her xray images showed some fluid inside her belly area. Her vet wasn’t so sure but suggested it might be infection and she believed it’ll drain with injecting antibiotics which I think it hasn’t worked.
I was wondering if you have any idea what this may be? Or have you ever seen any duck laying these for a long time?

@casportpony Maryam. She is the only one I know who might know whats causing these. Might even be from all the drugs the vets have had her on. I just don’t know. Is she recovered from her surgery?

She didn’t have surgery. Daisy’s the one who had surgery, she’s still recovering but she looks better. Thanks for asking:love

Have they cultured on of those things yet? That would be the next step I think. Doing that would tell you if you're dealing with bacteria and what antibiotic to use.

No, they haven’t done any specific examination. I asked them to but they said it’s not necessary , probably it’s just infection . Unfortunately none of the vet clinics here are well equipped especially for avian.
