Selecting Chantecler Roosters for breeding

I assess my roos and my hens and only hatch eggs from the best hens. Aside from character/temperament and SOP, the body structure of a heritage dual purpose is vitally important too. Head and girth width, depth of body and capacity, etc. I'm not too good at explaining, but I pretty much follow a protocol similar to this: from livestock conservancy, you may find it helpful.

Thank you!
