September 2022 Hatch-a-long🌞

Neither hatched. They were fully developed but dead in shell.

I have had a terrible time trying to hatch this particular cross, so that may not be the broody’s fault. But still disappointing!

So sorry.
It is always so disheartening when they are fully developed, but do not hatch.

The five eggs are on lock down. The air cells look good, the chicks look good. Temperature should be good for the week. Expect an update on the 24th-26th

All 10 hatched! One of the d'Uccles turned out to be a Porcelain! Though one of the Mille Fleurs has a slipped tendon.... It's escaped the chairs we made so right now the leg is just wrapped (I hope the tendon is in the correct position, the leg is soooo tiny) and we're giving rooster booster with b vitamins that are supposed to help. Any input on the situation is welcome!

If you haven’t already, I recommend posting in the emergencies thread. I have not personally had to deal with this, but I have read if addressed early, it has a good chance of a full recovery.
