Hello everyone! I have week old Serama chicks that hatched from one of my incubators. I know it’s pretty hard to tell, but was wondering your thoughts on possible genders? I heard sometimes one of the genders has their tail feathers come in sooner? Also curious as to the yellow-dotted (brown) chick. I talked with the person who I got the hatching eggs from and they said all their birds should have the blue-ish color. I also noticed this little one has feathered feet. Interesting… Maybe it isn’t a Serama?

The first chick with feathered legs isn't a Serama.

When I spoke to the person I got the eggs from they said that they have bantams with feathered feet but only their males.
They also said that the chick is probably male. That doesn’t determine gender though right? Since feathered feet can go either way I mean?
No, feathered feet don't determine gender.

I wonder what feather footed Bantams they have?

I was super curious myself, but they didn’t seem to know. The egg was the same size as the Seramas though, but I thought that Seramas laid the smallest eggs? Unless there are other bantams that lay that small as well?
