The chick on the far left of that photo is Zacchaeus, my current main cockerel, and boss rooster wannabe. He's 5 months old, now.

He's been tidbitting the pullets, and getting "sugar" with the hens.

Fez's chicks are 11 weeks old today, and Nefyn is growing nicely.

None of the older cockerels stepped up to look after them after Fez went back to the flock, and he has been performing an older brother role rather well - better than Erddig, who's prone to wander off and do his own thing fairly often. Neither have attempted to crow yet.

We have a hawk that discovered our (thankfully covered) run. Pretty sure it's the one living in the woods out back. I hope it gives up soon and lets the chickens be.
