Shadrach's Ex Battery and Rescued chickens thread.

OK. I'll get started on 'How good is your broody 2'... or maybe it should have a different title which reflects it's about the hatch rate rather than the broody per se?
Your call. If you do a separate one I would insert a link to it in the current one.
Or just go back and edit this one once you have a point of view to share.
I was thinking it would still be about the broody. Just include whatever your findings are about hatch rate. And then you can say ‘but hatch rate is problematic as a metric for all these reasons’ so the rest of the article looks at other metrics.
Right now it is like ‘I didn’t look at hatch because there are so many factors’ and instead it could say, ‘it seems like experience (or whatever) may impact hatch rate, but because of all these other things at play it is not very clear so I look at other metrics’.
And who knows, maybe hatch is interesting wrt the broody.

I think it may take a while to compile and consider the stats (as you may have noticed, I don't do things by halves ). But we'll see; if it doesn't and the addition would fit in straightforwardly, I'll just edit. If I get buried in old records or carried away or it starts to include lots of ifs and buts, I'll make it the sole focus of a different article. What I don't want to do is distract from the focus on the broody.

Many thanks for your thoughts on this; I really do appreciate them.

Ex Batts good morning one and all!

Tea is ready.

Temperature is in the 70s partly cloudy.

Hubby and I had abig day yesterday.

Had blood tests drawn.

He picked up his CBD.

He then joined me at Walmart for shopping.

Went to Winn-Dixie shopping.

Headed to the post office for package and mail.

Home to unload the truck to the house, then I can rest.

Have a great day!

I've just added them as a separate page (never added a page before; so thanks for the prod to try something new :)); I hope this is the sort of thing you were looking for. I struggle to see any pattern in them myself, but perhaps others will.
