I have this now 10 week old chick that is half the size of her littermates. She's always looked a little funny but when they are out foraging I noticed her neck is really short and she can't extend it too far out. Is there something I can do for her to make her life a little easier? She jumps, runs, drinks, and eats just like the other ones but not sure if this is some type of defect that might affect her more as she gets older. TIA!
Here's a picture of her. She can extend her neck just a little bit more than in this picture but overall it doesn't look like she has a neck.

Does her neck seem twisted to the side at all as happens in wry neck? Is she eating and drinking normally, acting lethargic, or having any diarrhea? How does her crop feel early in the morning before she eats or drinks? A crop impaction might make her neck appear shorter. Some chickens can suffer spinal deformities at birth, and these may be called spondylopathies, roach back, or kinky back.

Her crop feels just like the others and she eats and drinks great, sometimes last since the others beat her too it but there's plenty of food available so she eats regardless. I raised her from 1 Day Old so no wry neck, she just always looked different. She was sold to me as a barred rock but as her feathers came in she obviously isn't. So I thought maybe she was a bantam which is why she's so small. I'm leaning more towards a spine deformity, I'll research the terms you mentioned.
