Show Me Your Chickens

Your peacock is breathtaking  May I suggest some names? You do not have to use them if you don't want to - Ghanapriya, which means Peacock or lover of clouds, and you could call him Ghana, Gusana, meaning eye of a peacock's tail, and nickname him Gus, Neville, just because he looks so proper and fancy  or Lucius. That is all I got!

Anyway, George and Tippsey look like the perfect couple! I like his tail.

Gus it is!!!
Thanx if only he would stand still to get a good pic of that I swear he could be related to the road runner he's that fast

Yay! That was my favorite :D You are preaching to the choir! My bantams, sebrights, are so fast I swear they were hatched in the middle of a lightning storm! And my Spitz has the figure of a roadrunner.

Regarding swift chickens - maybe someone should launch "chicken races," at county fairs etc. Bet it would be hilarious- not sure what the lure should be. Maybe rattling a tin can of scratch, or dragging a watermelon slice in front of them -

Lord help me, I love that name :lau My fav so far!

No problem! Length does not matter, but the passion and love is what brightens my day and it is clear you love your birbs :love They all have such wonderful personalities (even if Eyo;s is a bit aggressive) and may I just say your Ameraucanas are stunning :eek:I attached below two files, one of my Americauna, Coco (who I think is the most beautiful of my flock), and my Sumatra, nellie, just so you have an idea of what Ozzy would have looked like. Losing chicks sucks! Thanks for sharing!

Those are some fine looking chicks ;):D I can't wait to cross mine, since I have a variety of chickens in the flock. Amber is a darling :woot

I wish her and you luck! :hugs
Such pretty birds, Nellie is gorgeous, I'm hoping to get another next year, my mother is dying to get a sumatra for our yard.

Crossing chickens is so much fun, you never know just what you will get! Makes for a lot of variety and for IMO stronger chickens as it diversifies the genetics. Have fun with it. Like your birds!
