I have a year old Mille fleur D'Uccle hen that's not acting right. She's laying a lot with her tail down and feathers fluffed. She's been having eggs normally with normal shell color, shape and thickness. She's not sneezing or coughing, no runny nose or diarrhea. She's not gotten sour crop or signs of being egg bound. I've taken her away from the flock and given her a nutra drench, herbs like parsley, thyme, marjoram, basil etc with some calcium water.

Anything else that I could do for her or ideas what could be going on?

Thanks!

I prefer to keep sick chickens with their flocks for their comfort and to help to prevent reintegration problems later, unless they are being pecked or bullied. If separation is necessary, then I place them with food and water inside a wire crate inside the coop or run. Calcium can be good to try if she could be having problems passing an egg. It is best given directly into the beak by pulling sown on wattles and putting it into the beak to swallow. Aim for about 200 mg of calcium citrate with D3 or Tums. Get her drinking water. What do her poops look like in a picture?
