By 18 month there is not much you can do nutrition wise.

Is there a dish of crushed oyster shells and grit available at all times?

When did you last deworm?

How many birds have to share the run?

Do you feed any animal protein and vegetables/greens at all?

Yes oyster shells and grit and he's already been dewormed in June. Yes 4 rooster and 6 hens purchase as day old chicks. I'm thinking an injury from another rooster. Had x rays done on his legs and nothing broken but I'm thinking maybe his back.

While it sounds quite nice at first glance, reading the ingredients list has me wondering as the three main ingredients list corn which is cheapest and used to fatten birds fast before butchering:
"Ground Corn, Corn Gluten Feed, Corn Distillers Dried Grains"

And Kalmbach also has corn as the main ingredient, even describing their feed to be fed to broilers and meat-type poultry.

From my experience large fowl needs to be fed carefully to avoid them putting on too much weight on their still soft and plyable skeleton which will cause hip and hock deformities.

It is just like with large and heavy dog breeds.

An injury is also very possible.
I had it happen to a beautiful and rather tall young BlueCopper Marans cockerel that injured his hip when playfighting with his hatchmate at about 5 months of age.
