My silkie chicken, Zelda, cracked her beak. I believe she was startled by something and ran into the wire of the coop.

She seems to be eating and drinking okay though she has some difficulty picking up larger pieces of food. Like usually she’s quite aggressive when taking corn from my hand but now she does it so tenderly and sometimes drops the piece.

Should I do something like soften her food? She’s young(about 20 weeks old)and still on chick starter feed.

Do you think it would be okay to just leave it alone? or should I do something like trim it or try and glue it? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I would leave it to heal up. Give her mash instead of dry food and keep her away from anything hard or that she has to tear. It will be tender the first few days like a split fingernail but it will heal up.
