Silver double laced barnevelder bred with black Orpington cross

Hi all
I’m thinking about hatching some of my own chickens and just need to ask about colour genetics when crossing two breeds.
I have a ‘black Orpington X with silver double laced(sdl) Barnevelder’ rooster who is fully black. He is in the same run as the purebred sdl barnevelders…..if I hatch out chicks, would they look like barnevelders & then when older have lacing? or start out looking like black orpingtons & just be black like the rooster? hope that makes sense! Pics of my handsome rooster & one of my barnevelders thanks

Hi! Can I ask where you got your double laced silver Barnevelder from? I’m in OH and looking for them. The hatchery I thought would have them last year didn’t proceed with offering them and I can’t find somebody online that is close. Thanks.
