We have a silver appleyard duckling, between a week or two old who started getting dark spots on his feet? We thought it was bruising maybe from running around the house every once in a while with us, but it seemed uniform? We've never had ducks before and when looking up silver appleyard ducks they seem to have orange feet, so I don't feel like he's getting or growing
into dark feet? Anyone have an idea what's going on? Is it bruising or something else?

Sorry it's been a few days! We know at least his mother is an appleyard as the person we got him from only have laying appleyard females. We're thinking the feet might be changing because he's a cross, they have runners but he looks really nothing like a runner, they just have such a unique look and their runner boys are pretty young still, but they also have a darker male duck but he's also pretty old, as well as they have some appleyard boys. But I guess we'll kinda have to wait for feathers to be 100% certain lol

He's already about a month old so shouldn't be too much longer! He's already got little tail feathers growing!
