That is what happens at small county fairs when they have a volunteer judge the birds. That is how some people also claim to have show quality birds.....

We are big enough in Spokane that we usually have APA sanctioned shows or at least a real licensed judge.

The guy this year was really lenient on some ee's. They looked like they were silver, but not quite right. He DQ'd a couple of them and let a couple pass too, but none of them placed high.
