Spaghetti Question

+1 for the Make your own meatballs camp. You can get house brand bulk italian sausage from any grocery store or go with like jimmy dean or one of the big brands. Make sure it isn't breakfast sausage though, that's a different seasoning blend usually. You can bake a batch in the oven and then freeze (plastic wrap, then ziplock bag if you don't have a vacuum sealer), or you can just ball them up and freeze, then pan fry or oven bake when you make your 'sketti.

After you have it down, you may want to experiment. There's really no wrong recipe for meatballs, it's what tastes good to you.

But it's better than premade. Less crap in it.

…now I need to make some spaghetti. Excuse me while I go dig through the freezer for some ground venison.

(I can’t help with meatballs, I usually just buy them pre-made and I don’t use them on spaghetti anyway, I just add meat to the sauce.)

Thanks!!! I’ll try that! I was going to ask about the meatball meat blends they sell but then I remembered that’s for meatloaf hahaha totally different 🤣😭

Out of curiosity, is it possible to use that meatloaf mix for meatballs? Or a similar mix? I’m just wondering because my bf hates sausage lol right now, I’m just cooking for myself but if he ever came over for dinner at some point and wanted spaghetti, I’m just curious. He’s VERY polite and would probably eat it if I made it but I don’t want to force him to hahah I also obviously could just cook something else. Like chicken parm. He loves that. But I’m just curious if anyone has any other meatball recipes. I’m guessing the recipe would just be the same thing but with other meats instead of sausage? And I’d have to add my own seasonings?

We like this chicken meatball recipe: Baked Chicken Meatballs. It's more involved than the Italian one posted yesterday but it's really good (and the sauce is required, it's delicious).
