I have now lost 2 of my 6 babies. I have no idea why. I check on them frequently. One check, they're sleeping but breathing, and the next they're not breathing anymore. I don't know what to do.

My thermometer is busted, so I have to get a new one, but I can tell you that none of them are panting, or puppy piled. They are on game bird starter that we ground up using a coffee grinder. The brooder is a Rubbermaid storage tub.

Sometimes you'll get one or two that just fail to thrive, but it's hard to say at this point.
Do they seem lethargic before they die?
Does their poop look normal?
Are they getting wet?

They didn't seem lethargic to me, just sleeping like babies do. They haven't gotten wet. Their poop looks like normal poop. This is my first time incubating eggs of any kind, and probably my last. I had to get rid of way too many eggs today that never hatched. 3 died trying to zip, 3 died after pipping, and the rest never even pipped. So out of 25 viable eggs, only 6 successfully hatched and now I'm down to 4 babies.
