Squatting silkie

I have my first silkies. One of my 18 week olds has been squatting for me all week. I thought silkies were slow to mature. Anyone had one squatting this early?

I suspect one of my other silkies is possibly a male, but no sure roos. I just caught her looking in the nesting boxes right after I posted this as well. I'm so excited to get my first silkie egg! I just can't imagine an egg coming out of such a small chickie

Good and yay! Silkie eggs are so tiny and cute! 2 silkie eggs are like 1 normal egg! Great for baking if you are splitting a recipe and you need 1/2 a egg LOL

I wish they would leave them in, they hate hair ties but their little eyes get covered. Plus it's cute
