This is my copper maran mix his name is berry he’s 4-5 months, around the time his tail feathers starting growing in was the same time I wasn’t feeling well enough due to my cats passing from kennel cough at the time he stayed in my garage and was eating the feed mix I made for him along with going outside around the front porch I’m wondering if this is due to a deficiency in his diet at the time, he also comes inside the house, he’s been coming inside ever since he was a 2 day old chick he’s never been chased or barked/hissed at and has never really had a problem with anybody or showed general signs of stress his diet has been adjusted since then as it’s been a month, currently he eats around 2-4 scrambled eggs with either fresh or cooked vegetables and sometimes bone or cooked organ meat with crushed oyster shells what should I do ?:(

There's really nothing you can do to correct the current state of the feathers, but going forward, it would be good practice to provide him with a nutritionally balanced poultry feed like Chick Starter or an All Flock Feed.

Cockerels do not need oyster shell, they don't produce eggs and don't need to the extra calcium like pullets and hens do.

Do provide him with crushed granite (grit) so he can process foods.

Thank you for the advice, I didn’t have anything else around and I was thinking that the oyster shells might help him process food since I don’t have any grit at the moment but once my parents have more money I’ll make sure to ask along with a more balanced feed :)

I see.
Unfortunately oyster shell is not hard enough to make suitable grit.

Yeah, getting him on a balanced feed will help. Do the best you can for now.
