Sweet Eggs??

Hi! My hens just laid their first group of eggs the last two days. So of course, i ate them for breakfast. I was surprised to notice a sweet smell the eggs Smelled like bown sugar, and tasted sweet.

The eggs were fresh, i check every day to find new ones, they were small and place cream color, but the shells were adequately thick, and the yolk was a dark orange. WHY are they sweet?!? am i doing something wrong? is it good? ive never had a sweet egg before from old flocks?

Never heard of that before.
Was the smell present before you cooked them.....how did you cook them?

Welcome to the world of FRESH EGGS!!! Nothing better in my opinion.
My girls lay sweet eggs in the spring, and the flavor becomes more mellow.
