I don't have any pictures yet, but one of my chickens has a "pouch" looking spot below her booty that's puffy and seems to be full of fluid, id had a chicken laying just a sac with egg whites and no yolk or shell so I thought maybe she had perinitis or whatever its called, so I separated her last night and she laid a perfectly normal egg this morning, and it doesn't seem to be getting worse l, and she runs around just fine, I've read so many things that "could" be the problem going off of just "swollen abdomen"

Can you see the enlarged lower belly in a picture of her vent area? An enlarged lower belly under the vent could be fluid from ascites, fluid from a cystic or persistent right oviduct, or fat. Does there seem to be any bulge or hernia? Is she having any other symptoms, such as labored breathing? Are the normally white urates or white cap in her droppings white or yellowish?

I saw your thread and I have a 2 year old hen that belly looks bruised, yellowish and swollen. Any suggestions please. You should be a chicken vet! I read your threads all the time. Thanks!
