Hi! My little silkie, Lola has had a swollen eye for a few days. We have had a couple of chickens come down with this over time but have mostly gotten better. This is by far the worst case. On day one we found her in the cage, lost because of her pompom and her swollen eye. We washed her eye with salt water and opened it and put in a couple of drops of Tricin. The second day, her eye was more swollen and we noticed a small dark spot, we bathed it in salt water and put some Tricin in (we have run out now and it was an old prescription). The third day (yesterday) she had a large chunk of dried pussy stuff, which came off with with more saltwater. She has been on a high dose of oxytetracycline hydrochloride the whole time. Today (when the photo was taken) there were feathers stuck all over it so we washed them off, when we tried to open her eye, like we have the last couple of days, a few ml of pus came out, but we could not see the eye. The dark spot we noticed on day two has grown significantly. Any advice or info would be much appreciated. Thanks!
tldr; Chicken has swollen face, one side only pus came out, not eating much. Possibly mycoplasma or coryza.
