I apologize, I know there are many posts on treating tapeworms but I’m worried I’ll do something wrong.
I have ten adult chickens and four 7 week old pullets. Their runs are next to each other but they are completely separated. Today I noticed tapeworm segments in the adult chicken poo however, I have no idea which chickens it came from.
I’ve read to use Equimax but then as I was researching, I came across a few things that said it can be dangerous. So, my questions are:
1. Is equimax the best way to treat tapeworms?
2. Since I don’t know which chickens are infected (but I know there are multiple) is it ok to treat the entire adult flock?
3. Should I do anything with the pullets if they show no evidence of worms yet?
Thank you for your advice and patience with a probably overdone question I’m afraid to do something wrong.
