The dreaded “cockerel or pullet” game. 5-7 week old chicks.

If I need to come back when they’re older, do let me know! Also willing to get more (better) photos!

Got these guys from a farm store so I don’t trust that they’re all pullets.

Chick 1 - breed unknown (got in an odd situation, the very reason we have the rest!)

Chick 2 - Rhode Island Red

Chick 3 - Buff Orpington

Chick 4 - Rhode Island Red

Chick 5 - Silkie (cross?)

Chick 6 - Golden-Laced Wyandotte

Chick 7 - Black Cochin??

Chick 8 - Golden-Laced Wyandotte (also seen with chick 3)

Chick 9 - Buff Orpington

Chick 10 - Golden Sebright

Chick 11! - Black Jersey Giant

Breed guesses for 1 are also welcome. Thank you all for any help

Other than the Silkie, too young to sex that one, but I am leaning cockerel.

1 looks like a Buff Orpington to me.

8 seems iffy and the silkie is still way too young. Ither than that, I'm not seeing warning signs

Very good to hear!! Tysm!! And makes sense, I was thinking the Silkie was too young. Prolly have to keep them regardless cos I’ve always wanted a Silkie lmao—

I was briefly thinking that 1 (whom I’m calling Cricket) is a Buff Orpington, but her legs are *greenish* unlike the other two. It’s the only way I’ve been able to tell them apart.

My friend had one similar it got lighter as she molted but was never light enough.
The Jersey Giant. Does is have yellow soles of its feet or white?

Looks kinda white to me, which would mean she's an Australorp instead.
But I'm also seeing white feathers on her I believe...

Kinda what I was thinking.
Sometimes with the first molt they will loose the white feathers but I have a hen that is 2 and still has some white on one feather for some reason.
