-The Mythics RP-

(This is brief, just trying to get us picked back up

Vhanya smiled, “why yes, we will indeed. In fact, I was intending for their harbors to be our first stop.“
She leaned back in her chair and said mostly to herself, “how perfect this is! Our souls’ sacred causes must be aligned, yes?“

"Do you have a contract?" Tay asked. The black fabric of her dress pulled tight as she folded her arms. "How long must I sign on for? Because I'd like to retire from this circus in the near future. Say.." she cocked her head, "the next port."

Ember arched an eyebrow slightly, glancing between Vhanya and the siren, letting a fiery gaze linger on the latter for a few moments longer.
The Harpy could practically feel the disappointment radiating from the human man, his disgust and disapproval poorly masked across his expression. It was hard not to relish his disappointment. Out of spite, above all things.

Nautalis's smile deepened slightly at Jordan's words as she fought against her rising irritation.
"Perfect indeed," the Siren continued calmly, almost sounding pleased, and ignoring Tay.
The woman tossed her head triumphantly in Jintao's direction, rubbing both hands across the top of her head to smooth out her hair while simultaneously brushing the scarf completely off her head.
Smokey blue frills peaked beneath the damp curls of dark hair over her ears, barely showing beneath the thick waves of strands.
"What about you," she questioned shamelessly, fixing the human with an expectant stare. "Is she fitted to your expectations yet?"

(I HAVE RETURNED
Sorry everyone, between recording art demos for a friend, church, and weekend chores, I have been running around everywhere and barely found the time to sit down and write.)

(She has returned! 🎉🥳)

Vhanya was beginning to like the Siren; what she supposedly lacked in sailing experience she made up for in gall. When she pushed back her scarf, a thought occurred to Vhanya.
There was a pressing matter that she knew may or may not take their deal off the table- for the humans, at least; whether or not they let their superstitions guide them was still unknown.

So, she stood, and after a brief ruffling through the papers in her desk drawer, found a blank contract. Before one could blink, the contract was dangling from the sharp tip of her tail.
She was subtle about it, and took care not to draw unnecessary attention while the Siren was still talking to her human companions. But when she finished speaking, her question hanging in the air, Vhanya calmly extended her tail towards the man with an air of punctuality, the pierced sheet of paper swaying slightly with the movement.

The Siren would either appreciate her presenting the contract in such a way or she wouldn’t, Vhanya would deal with that later. It was now up to the human to decide if he was to stay aboard a ship full of Mythics.

Jintao drew a deep breath. Leaving with Tay sounded good enough for him, but he feared the agreement with Nautalis was going to last a lot longer than he'd like.
Expectations? he questioned. She hadn't. He glanced at the Harpy, and neither had she. The closest that met his expectations was the ship itself, that is, of course, if her Captain was telling the truth of her rich history. He knew lies like that and similar could be expected on a ship whose crew didn't meet the standard.
A pale flicker of parchment stole his attention. He took a step back and studied the barb more than he studied the paper. Poison, something that would steal the doubts of any pirate or rebel from the Destruction alike. It was a secret of her crew, and her victims referred to it as an unknown  curse.
He took the paper with a strange boldness that only one skilled with poisons would understand.
"Aye, one would question if this was a trap." His eyes flickered with the matching boldness. He locked eye contact with the captain for a moment longer than he enjoyed and motioned his head toward her tail. "A fine weapon, I must say."

Raven shivered slightly at the feeling of the claws on his skin. he grabbed hold of Gecko's wrists and held them tight to prevent more flailing, "No, no dont do that. we don't want the ship to blow up." he let go of Gecko and reached up for a lantern on the wall. "Coal can light this and we can hang it up somewhere far from the powder." he handed it to Coal.
Coal lit the lantern, looking for a safe place to put it. There was a side chamber designed for the purpose of illuminating the magazine without actually having a flame inside the room. He set the lantern there.
Gecko lifted his wings when he saw the light. "Whoops, sorry 'bout that Raven." He glanced around the illuminated room. "Eh, what are we supposed to do again? We-ah supposed to clear her inventory, right? Where do we, uh, put it?"

"We're just supposed to see what she has," Raven grunted as he lifted a heavy crate and moved it out of the way, "which means we have to count everything, and there's a lot here so I'd get going."
He ran his finger along the surface of a shelf and inspected the residue left behind. "try not to stir any dust up."
pulling up his face covering over his nose, he continued in his task.
