Does it usually many grapes?
I have pruned our vine back severely. That may cost a few pounds this year but next year the volume should be greatly increased. I don't know what variety it is but I suspect it is a Noble which is widely used for Muscadine Wine. Nobles do not loose their deep color which is highly desirable for wine making. We only make jam. A mature properly trained Noble vine can produce 60+ lbs a year. I've started a small vineyard that will grow to only about 30 vines but that can be a ton of grapes. Several varieties of Early, Mid Season, and Late Season to extend the harvest season.
