Good afternoon Old Folks. Sister in law is here with us now after saying goodbye to her house in FL right where the landfall is expected.

Wow, @Nomadicus! I'm glad your SIL made it and is with you.

I've only seen snippets of the news, and I picture being in a car, crawling north on the highway... It's a wonder anyone gets anywhere.

Peeps and Old Folks I've been awake for about 36 hours now.

Saying Goodnight to all and am going to try and sleep again. The map is saying for rainfall that it might rain 20" of water on SIL's place in addition to an unknown tidal surge. Her next door neighbor is staying put. Really sad for them. They may not have the means to leave or a place to go. I'm glad my SIL could get away. If I don't sleep I'll get up during the night to check on the storm. I still have friends and other family in the path but in a safer area.

Good morning, OF. Getting blood drawn today for an upcoming 'wellness' visit.

Well, that didn't happen. Got to Lab Corp, and there were at least 20 people there getting blood drawn. Went and bought sweet corn to freeze instead. I'll try again tomorrow.
