Does one wanna even try to imagine how hard it is for two women to get a tiny elastic band on a tiny dux phallus with two husbands laughing and cracking jokes the entire time?
It was quite the experience. Rofl!

I absolutely believe this happens. Looks just like a juicy worm to them. I had a call drake with a prolapse a few months ago and the end of it definitely looked as if it had been bitten and bitten hard. It took weeks to heal with daily drake molestations, cleaning it and applying prep H and poking it back in. The injured tip turned all purple and brown and was obviously not going to heal. I ended up enlisting some help from my Sis in law to hold him and we used one of those little clear elastics to band off the dead tissue. After a few days the bad part dried up and I was able to snip it off, clean it and get the remaining corkscrew to stay in.
It worked! He's better than ever now. He is evwn back to using whats left of it. 🤣
No telling if he will be able to fertilize or not, but he is one of my favorites so i am so glad he didn't get sick and die on me from infection.
Good for you!!! That is what I had to do to one of my little Call Drakes only I did not band it, with the shape it was in I just had to cut it off and he was good to go. I too wonder if he can fertilize anything but he surely tries in the spring. His ended up being a round piece that was the size of a quarter that hung out and once snipped off he has been just fine. So glad you were able to save yours also. I had no help but was able to do it and he never even flinched.

I guess that is why I never bothered to try that route and just sterilized everything and went snip, lol. I sort of wondered if I should have changed my name to Lorena, lol

wait wait Less than MINUS TWENTY ? i have never been in anything less than 0 - I am thankful for that - i just wonder how does it feel to your face and eyeballs and your breathing like do your lungs freeze on the inside? I just try to imagine that I really don’t wanna ever find out actually.
HA! That's nothing! I think the second winter I was here it went down to -50 with the windchill (which is about the same in f). My heaters could not supply enough and the dog's water dish froze over. INSIDE!

On really cold days, I wear about five layers (including a parka) as well as several mitts and gloves, hat and hood, and scark wrapped around my face. Those are the days I feed inside the coop and don't let them out.

Been mild here the past few days but it's dropping today with an expected low of of less than -20 on the weekend.

I'm not a big fan of roller coasters to begin with, but much less when the temperatures jump on board!!!
I assume -20° Celsius ?!
Hopefully not Fahrenheit, that would be almost -30°
Which i have experienced in 2009 in LaCombe, AB.
I had to plug-in my rental car at the hotel, customer, pizza-place,… otherwise the engine would have frozen solid. Every customer parking spot had an electrical outlet.

Coldest i have ever experienced was -42° (-44F).
You don't want to feel this! I got frostbite on my ear-lobes just walking from my rental car to the hotel lobby and being too lazy to pull down the scalp-cap.
Breathe shallow, every deep breath hurts. Don't think about yawning!!
Do throw a cup of boiling hot water into the air: It will scream while it instantly freezes.
Having the choice, i prefer plus 40° (104F).

well, now that I have a very handsome well-behaved Drake , after almost 10 years of not getting along with any of the previous Drake’s that came through-
Now I am worried about his little corkscrew because I see girls trying to bite it as he’s jumping off of other girls and running away… and my guess is perhaps this is how corkscrew injuries occur?
You know the story of Erpelchen Drake and Blanca Duck? - Big ouch!?!
Fortunately that corkscrew is expendable. Even drakes with involuntarily shortened corkscrews continue to screw around and even remain fertile…

Same observation here: After having a prolapse and part of the corkscrew removed, Prongus Longus (pun intended 😈) became more active. And i am sure fathered plenty of offspring.
