The Saga of the Appaloosa **LONG< LONG**

I thought Ole Man owner does not breed "other" breed mares except for QH or TB mares.

His mama was a registered qh, even though she was appy. Roy Browning Ranches owned The Ole Man then and I had a red dun Ole Man grandson at the time whose daddy was Ole Bits Man. I'm still breeding that bloodline, in fact. I have an Ole Man great (or maybe it's great-great) grandson on the place right now. I'm sure I have pictures of the Appaloosa somewhere. The question is WHERE?!?

That big red horse left some terrific get behind, though.

Edited to add an image--BUT--it's from an unmarked photo in my photo box. It may not even be him, but it is the way I remember him, so hopefully this is the Appaloosa as a 4-year-old, back around 1985.

hmmm...Texasgal, I called him Bubba but I don't think I should post his registered name. I did say that one of his registered owners beat him and another lived in her car -- very personal information. I learned the hard way on here about privacy issues after one of my topics was deleted entirely because I disclosed too much personal information. That's why I called people "Trucker" and "Wifey" and "Girlfriend" in the original post instead of calling them by their names. I'm really not here to "out" these people. After all, it was a long time ago and people DO change. I really just wanted to pay tribute to my old friend.

Aw heck .. I was more interested in the horse .. I can only find two appaloosas sired by The Ole Man .. and one is a filly. The other has a reg. QH for his dam .. but she is listed as a blue roan and was also registered with ApHC. I'll go with that one .. if I could only find a picture .. I think the age is off by a few years ..
